Gil Cobb, L.G., R.G.
Principal
In 1985, after seven years in the oilfield, Gil decided to try his hand at environmental consulting, an emerging area of work back then. Gil has since worked for big firms and on his own prior to joining Point Source in 2004. He previously held leadership roles that included management of technical teams throughout Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Utah and Colorado. Gil holds a BS in Earth Sciences from New Mexico Highlands University.
When not working, Gil enjoys hanging out with his wife Barb and their grown children, as well as chasing around a growing posse of grandkids and spending time in New Mexico.
Jeff Jackman
Principal
Jeff founded Point Source Solutions following stints at national and regional consulting firms.
His 28 years of experience in the industry includes conducting countless site assessments, investigations and remediation projects. Jeff is a licensed monitoring well constructor in Oregon and Washington, a Resource Protection Well Operator in Washington and an Oregon DEQ Heating Oil Tank Supervisor.
Jeff holds a BS in Natural Resource Management from University of Oregon.
Jeff is a fervent free-dive spear-fisher and enjoys tinkering around his home shop.
Andy Klopfenstein, EIT
Senior Project Manager
Andy has more than a decade of experience in environmental services. At Point Source, Andy’s work involves operating the company’s direct-push drill rig, coordinating field operations, conducting site assessments and writing reports.
Andy is a licensed Oregon DEQ Heating Oil Tank Supervisor, Oregon DEQ UST Supervisor and a Washington UST Site Assessor.
Originally from the Green Mountains area of Vermont, Andy holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from University of Vermont.
He's into mountain biking, gardening and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his girlfriend and their two unreasonably large dogs.
Johnny Ramus, GIT
Staff Geologist
In his work at Point Source, Johnny brings experience as a field technician performing soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations, UST decommissioning and site cleanup activities.
Johnny’s licensure includes Oregon DEQ UST Decommissioning, Oregon DEQ Heating Oil Tank Supervisor, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, ASTM E1527- PH1 ESA and Confined Space Entry.
He is a GIT and holds a BA in Geology from State University of New York, as well as associates degrees in science and fine arts. He was born and raised in Watertown, NY. Johnny loves climbing so much that he does it competitively.
